US Strikes Another Venezuelan Boat; al Qaeda Burns 40 Fuel Tankers in Mali; Russian Drone Flies Over Warsaw Gov't Buildings

September 16, 2025

Good Morning,

The Trump administration reported U.S. forces struck a Venezuelan vessel, while the IDF launched a major operation in Gaza City amid reports of tanks entering the heart of the Strip. In West Africa, at least 40 fuel tankers were destroyed in an al Qaeda-linked attack in Mali, and Poland intercepted a drone over government buildings in Warsaw. Meanwhile, diplomatic efforts continue as the U.S. works toward a "framework" for resolving the TikTok-China dispute, and anti-corruption efforts yielded results with the arrest of a former Mexican security minister in Paraguay on organized crime charges.
