US Moves Submarines Near Russia; Iran Rumored to Hold 4 Americans; EU Implements New AI Policy
August 4, 2025
Good Morning,
Trump reports that he is deploying nuclear submarines in response to Russian threats regarding peace talk deadlines, while China and Russia launch joint military exercises in the Sea of Japan. Meanwhile, humanitarian concerns deepen with over 60 deaths in a migrant boat disaster off Yemen's coast and Iran continuing to detain at least four U.S. citizens. In other developments, the EU's groundbreaking artificial intelligence regulations enter a critical new implementation phase, and Haitian authorities arrest a former senator allegedly collaborating with gangs in attacks on civilian communities.
