UN reimposes sanctions on Iran over nuclear program amid US-China trade tensions and Moldova's pro-EU shift.
Good Morning,
The United Nations has reimposed an arms embargo and other sanctions on Iran, marking a significant shift a decade after the landmark nuclear deal, causing concern over potential economic repercussions in Iran. In Moldova, the pro-European Union party has taken the lead in parliamentary elections, signaling a possible shift in the country's geopolitical alignment. Meanwhile, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has ruled out holding a referendum on becoming a republic during his tenure. In the Americas, Colombian President Gustavo Petro has accused the United States of violating international law following the revocation of his visa, while U.S. soybean farmers face a crisis as the ongoing trade war with China continues to impact sales.
