Houthis Attack Israel Airport; Nepali Police Kill 17 Protesters; Mali Strikes Militant Group

September 9, 2025

Good Morning,

In Mali, government forces launched airstrikes following militant threats to block fuel imports, as Israel faced a Houthi drone attack on a southern airport. Meanwhile, deadly protests erupted in Nepal where police killed at least 17 demonstrators opposing new social media restrictions, and political upheaval continued in Argentina where President Milei suffered a significant electoral defeat in Buenos Aires province. European migration patterns also shifted as Germany lost its position as the EU's top destination for asylum seekers.
