Global Power Moves: U.S. Sanctions ICC Prosecutor, European Forces Rescue Hijacked Vessel, and Concerns Mount Over Trump's Ukraine Peace Talks

Good Morning,

The US sanctioned ICC chief prosecutor Karim Khan following Trump’s executive order targeting the court over its investigations of Israel, a European naval force, EUNAVFOR Atalanta, freed a Yemeni fishing boat hijacked by suspected Somali pirates off the Horn of Africa, and Trump announced Ukraine would be included in peace talks with Russia, but Kyiv and European allies expressed concerns over potential unilateral US concessions.
