China navigates trade with Trump as EU sanctions on Russia stall, while legal actions and drone incidents heighten global conflicts.

Good Morning,

In a complex global landscape, China is navigating the challenges of a trade war with the United States under President Trump, who is also seeking to resolve tariff disputes with India through intensive trade talks. Meanwhile, Trump's state visit to the U.K. comes at a politically sensitive time for Britain's leadership. In Europe, the EU faces delays in implementing its 19th sanctions package against Russia, partly due to U.S. pressure, while also grappling with economic stagnation as highlighted by Mario Draghi. Luigi Mangione no longer faces capital terrorism charges in his trial. Tensions are further exacerbated by legal actions against an Israeli soldier for alleged war crimes, the detention of Belarusians for flying a drone over the Polish president’s residence, and the controversial deportation of a Russian dissident by the U.S. back to Russia.
