Bolsonaro Sentenced to 27 Years; Qatar Seeks 'Collective Response' to Israel Attack; Russian Drones Enter Polish Airspace

September 12, 2025

Good Morning,

A 16-year-old student who had been "radicalized by some extremist network" opened fire at Evergreen High School in Colorado, wounding two classmates before taking his own life, while violent conflicts continue to destabilize regions from eastern Congo, where rebel attacks have killed scores of civilians, to the Middle East, where Qatar is calling for a "collective response" to Israeli military actions amid escalating regional tensions. Meanwhile, diplomatic and economic pressures are mounting as Russian drone incursions into Polish airspace raise alarm about threats to European aviation, China issues stern warnings to Mexico over potential tariffs designed to appease the United States, and Brazil's former President Jair Bolsonaro faces a 27-year prison sentence for his role in plotting a coup attempt against the country's democratic institutions.
